LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said that special attention is being paid to research while work has also started on setting up a Punjab Medical Research Fund.
He was presiding over a meeting held to review the steps taken for the eradication of dengue virus here on Tuesday. Members of National and Provincial Assemblies, Chief Secretary, secretaries of various departments and experts attended the meeting.
Addressing the meeting, Shahbaz Sharif said that the campaign against the dengue virus continued like a movement and participation of elected representatives, officers, experts, doctors, paramedical staff, students, Ulema and all segments of society had been ensured.
He said that a vigorous campaign continued for creating awareness regarding preventive measures and saving people from dengue. (APP)
