Gold rate decreases by Rs1,300 in Pakistan on Jan 7

KARACHI: A single tola of 24-karat gold in Pakistan was being sold for Rs115,300 Thursday, January 7, at the closing of the bullion market after the price of the precious metal decreased by Rs1,300 during the intra-day trading.

Likewise, 10 grams of 24k gold was sold for Rs98,851 at the closing of trading.

Meanwhile, 10 grams of 22k gold was traded for Rs90.641 with one tola of 22k gold being traded at Rs105.692.

On Wednesday, gold rates in the local market increased Rs600/tola to Rs116,600/tola, according to the data released by the All Sindh Saraf Jewellers Association.

Similarly, 10 grams of gold price raised Rs515 to Rs99,966, it added.

In the international market, gold rates increased from $7 to $1,955/ounce. 

Jewellers said prices in the local market remained Rs3,000/tola lower, compared to the rates in the Dubai gold market. However, silver rates remained unchanged at Rs1,400/tola. The price of 10 grams of silver also stood the same at Rs1,200.27.
