RAWALPINDI: Solid Waste Management Department of City District Government Rawalpindi (CDGR) has issued a comprehensive cleanliness plan for upcoming Eid-ul-Azha to get rid of entrails of animals.
Talking to APP District Officer, Solid Waste Management Dr. Mazhar Azeem on Thursday said that a comprehensive cleanliness plan particularly for Eid-ul-Azha has been formulated under which 1553 sanitary workers will perform their duties during Eid-ul-Azha holidays.
While s many as 65 vehicles would also be used to remove garbage and offal from all city areas.
The cleanliness plan has been finalized in a special meeting presided by Executive District Officer, Municipal Services Imtiaz Ahmad Malik here.
According to the plan Rawal town has been distributed into four sectors to make effective the cleanliness arrangements for Eid-ul-Azha while a control room has also been set up.
He said that EDO Municipal Services has directed the concerned department to mend the garbage bins and containers for immediate action.
Commercial Market, Satellite town, Sadiqabad, New Katrian, Pindora and other areas will be included in Sector A. Chief Sanitary Inspector Zulfiqar Shah will be In-charge of the sector.
The citizens can record their complaints on mobile phone number 033348117273 of the In-charge. Makhasingh street, Millat colony, Muslim Town, Afandi Colony, Mohala Cha Sultan, Araya Mohala, Amarpura and other areas will be included in Sector B.
