MULTAN: The Dera Ghazi Khan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DGKCCI) has opposed the proposed three-month gas supply recess pleading that it would add to the woes of the industry particularly in the backward area of South Punjab.
Talking to the newsmen here Friday the DGKCCI President Khawaja Anis said industrial development in South Punjab was still at a primitive stage and the proposed measure would be a blow to the industry.
He demanded that South Punjab be declared exempted from the proposed gas supply break so that people of this area could continue to earn their livelihood. (APP)
