Agri varsity staff protest continues

FAISALABAD: The employees of the University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF) on the call of its Academic Staff Association (ASA) continued their protest for the second consecutive day against the non-payment of increased salaries.

The rally comprising tens of hundreds of the employees was taken out under the UAF Academic Staff Association (ASA) and led by its President Prof Dr Muhammad Khalid.

The rally started from the Faculty of Animal Husbandry was culminated outside Administration Block.

The participants were demanding the government and the Higher Education Commission to immediate release the grants of the university to pay the increased salaries.

They said that it was hard to meet the expenditures especially on the occasion of Eid. The non-payment of the raised salary is making the event 'miserable', they added. (APP)
