Killer Dengue claims three lives in Lahore

LAHORE: Dengue virus claimed three more lives including two women in Lahore on Saturday, Geo News reported. The toll now stands at 257 in the city and 297 in Punjab.

Waqas aged 18, Majeedan 45 and Allahrakhi lost the battle against Dengue at Services Hospital today.

According to health department, 201 new cases were confirmed in the past 24 hours raising the number of affected people to 19,506. In Lahore, 161 fresh cases were confirmed that raised the number of patients to 16,492.

Dengue emergency committee told Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif that special training for doctors and nurses is underway.

The CM Punjab instructed to ensure fumigation at markets and shopping plazas during Eid-ul-Azha holidays.
