Pakistan Post aims at converting itself to a profitable organisation through its e-commerce initiative — eyeing a major chunk of the domain's deliveries.
Ministry of Communications and Postal Services has introduced new initiatives given the growing e-commerce market in the country to further strengthen the financial services of the department, a Pakistan Post official told APP on Tuesday.
“Pakistan Post is providing e-commerce facility with different options including delivery partner, sale through the postal counter, collect and return service and co-branded partner,” he said.
The official said that the mail service also offers cost-effective cash on delivery (COD) at regular and subsidised bulk user rates to delivery partners.
He said that the department is offering collect and return services for the exchange and return of articles through postal counters.
“Co-branded partner allows the display of partner products on Pak Post Shop with specific or customised products for online Pak Post Shop for sale,” he added.
