300,000 flood-hit people still in camps
ISLAMABAD: Over 300,000 flood-hit people are still residing in 800 camps established in various areas of Sindh.

Spokesman of the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) said in a statement on Saturday that there was a marked improvement in the flood-hit areas as majority of the affected people had returned to their homes.

He said Rs 10 billion were spent on the procurement of relief goods for the flood victims during last three months.

The NDMA has distributed 3.3 million ration bags and 350,000 tents among the victims.

He said water is expected to recede from the affected areas of Sanghar, Badin, Tando Muhammad Khanand Benazirabad by December. (APP)
