KARACHI: Sindh Minister for Women Development, Tauqeer Fatima Bhutto on Monday said Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC), be declared a compulsory document for marriage.
The provincial Minister was addressing as chief guest participants of a workshop organized by Shirkat Gah, said a statement.
She said a 14-year old girl should have the knowledge about her rights guaranteed by Islam.
Tauqeer Fatima called upon the departments of social welfare, health, law, education, NGOs and civil society to play their role to create awareness about fundamental rights.
Introducing a subject in the syllabus to create awareness among the women and children and their justified rights would improve their understanding in this regard which would help to form an excellent society, said Sindh Minister for Women Development.--APP
