Summon issued to Advocate General in Altaf case
KARACHI: Sindh High Court (SHC) has issued summons to Advocate General as well as Prosecutor General for November 29 in the petition of Muhajir Qaumi Movement Chairman Afaq Ahmed seeking registration of a murder case against Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Chief Altaf Hussain, Geo News reported.

Afaq Ahmed had submitted a petition for lodging of an FIR against Altaf Hussain and other MQM leaders for attacking Bait-ul-Hamza and murdering two people.

Today, Afaq Ahmed's three cases were heard in SHC

In Khalid Hussain's kidnapping case, prosecution told Justice Maqbool Baqar that there was no witness in this case against Afaq Ahmed. The court in its remarks said there was no need for a bail in this kind of case.

Disposing of the case, the court ordered that Afaq Ahmed not be arrested in this case.

A single-judge bench of SHC comprising Justice Shahid Shahid Anwar Bajwa adjourned the hearing in the bail plea of Afaq Ahmed in order to refer the case to another court. The Prosecutor General Sindh told the court that the case falls in the jurisdiction of Anti Terrorism Court (ATC).
