Complaint cell for crime info established

HYDERABAD: Senior Superintendent of Police, Hyderabad, Syed Asad Raza Shah has established a complaint cell where the citizens can also give information of crimes taking place in their areas to the police besides filing their own complaints.

The police spokesman Mazhar Shani informed here on Monday that the cell's office had been set up in the premises of Madadgar Police near Shahbaz Building.

The citizens could also directly communicate with the SSP through the email address [email protected], he added. Shani said the identity of the complainants would be kept secret. Separately, the SSP would also upgrade the Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) by equipping it with modern tools used in the investigation of different sorts of crimes including cyber.

The CIA would also start maintaining computerized data of criminals and the crimes which take place in the city.

The Anti Car Lifting Cell would also be upgraded to curb the crimes of motorbike and car snatching and theft, he added. (APP)
