PESHAWAR: Capital City Police foiled a bid of narcotics smuggling and arrested the smuggler, police said on Tuesday.
After receiving the information that a huge quantity of narcotics would be smuggled, police established various check posts on exit and entrance points of the city.
During checking of vehicles near Ring Road in the limit of Bahana Mari Police Station, police intercepted a suspected car bearing registration number LXL-458 and recovered 80 kg of hashish from its secret cavities.
Police also arrested the smuggler Mohammad Rehman R/O of Haripure on the spot and registered the case for further investigations.
