DCO orders full security for Ashura

FAISALABAD: District Coordination Officer Naseem Sadiq has directed officers of the departments concerned to complete Muharram arrangements before time and concerted efforts should be made to make a foolproof security plan.

He was presiding over a meeting held here on Thursday at his committee room to review the Muharram arrangements. MPA Khwaja Islam was also present in the meeting.

He directed that all obstacles should be removed from the routes of Muharram processions besides inspections of installations of electricity
and Sui gas. He ordered the officers concerned to ensure the cleanliness should carry out joint inspections.

He directed that all kinds of wall chalking should immediately be washed out besides checking the leakage of sewer lines.

The DCO said that the security gadgets including walkthrough gates,
mettle detectors, scanners and CCTV cameras should be made available on the important points of processions and Majalis in operational conditions. (APP)
