NATO strike on military checkposts widely condemned
MULTAN: Scores of people from different walks of life took out rallies and staged protest demonstrations in various parts of the city on Monday against the unprovoked NATO strikes on Pakistani posts.

District Bar Association (DBA) Multan led by its president Arbab Ahmad Syed offered Ghaibana Namaz-e-Janaza(Funeral Prayers in Absentia) of the martyred soldiers and held a protest demonstration at Chowk Katchery.

The High Court Bar Association Multan held a protest meeting inside the bar hall with its president Chaudhry Sagheer in the chair. A number of lawyers addressed the demonstrators.

The MQM Multan chapter also staged a protest demonstration outside Multan Press Club. MQM leaders Raza Haroon and Iftikhar Akbar Randhawa led the protest.

The workers of PML-N took out a rally and staged protest demonstration at Nawan Sheher Chowk. Hundreds of PML-N activists, led by MNA Rana Mehmoodul Hassan, raised slogans against the NATO strikes.

Jamatud Dawa (JuD) Multan and Motahida Shehri Mahaz (MSM)jointly staged a protest demonstration and took out a rally from district sports ground to Kalma Chowk. MSM president Tariq Naeemullah and JuD Multan district Ameer Hafiz Abdul Ghaffar led the rally.

They offered Ghaibana Namaz-e-Janazaof the martyred soldiers at the district sports ground.

The MSM also held a protest demonstration at Chungi No 9. (APP)
