MARSEILLE: A fire that broke out in an old people's home in the southern French city of Marseille on Wednesday killed six people, police said in a statement.
The six died from smoke inhalation after the fire raged through the third floor of the building.
Earlier reports said the fire broke out on the fourth floor.
Firefighters treated 15 people for smoke inhalation. Three of them were in a serious condition and were rushed to a hospital.
