Memogate scandal: Deadline to file reply in SC ending today

ISLAMABAD: The deadline, issued by the Supreme Court to file reply in memogate scandal, is ending today (Thursday), Geo News reported.

According to the sources, COAS General Ashfaq Pervaz Kayani and DG ISI have submitted their reply, but the SC Registrar office declined to comment on it.

The Supreme Court after the initial hearing of the memogate petition filed by PML-N president Nawaz Sharif, had given 15 days for respondents to reply which included the President, federation, COAS, DG ISI, former ambassador Husain Haqqani and others.

Attorney General office has also received the copy of DG ISI reply, the sources said. The copy was sent to AG office by ministry of defence.

Hussain Haqqani had also submitted his reply in the apex court.

Presidential spokesman has said that President would file his reply in Supreme Court as per law and constitution.

Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani has also said that he would file reply in the SC.
