More than 900 rescuer passed out from Emergency Services Academy
RAWALPINDI: The Passing out ceremony of more than 900 Rescuers including District Chiniot and remaining post of other districts was held at Emergency Services Academy. The passing out cadets demonstrated their professional skills in mass casualties due to explosion & fire, rescue & emergency management of victims and fire fighting was also arranged on this occasion, says a press release.

The Cadets have been given specialized trade specific training which include rescue, emergency medical treatment and fire fighting. Although quality training of such a large number of rescuers with limited resources was a gigantic task, but the same has been achieved through close monitoring and weekly tests. Before final posting, the emergency staff would now move on to the emergency departments of teaching hospitals for better liaison and to understand the patients shifting protocol.

The Specialized training courses were arranged for rescuers in the fields of communication, Medical First Responder (MFR), Collapsed Structure Search and Rescue (CSSR), communication enhancement and Incident Command System.

The Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue 1122) Director General Dr. Rizwan Naseer congratulated the rescuers and asked them to work day and night. He informed during his welcome address that the Service has rescued over 1183000 emergency victims with average response time of less than seven minutes.

He also expressed his confidence that these rescuers will maintain the internationally acknowledged standards of the Service in remaining districts and shall gain respect from the citizens Chief Guest of the ceremony Law Minister Rana Sana Ullah admired the services of Rescue 1122 and stated that Punjab Government will increase salaries of Rescue 1122 employees as equivalent to Punjab Police.

The present Government expended Rescue 1122 in all over the Punjab in best interest of general public and we will provide emergency services up to Tehsil level, he further added.
