Muzaffargarh: Medical report confirms torture of female sub-inspector

The prime suspect has been arrested and is under police custody on a four-day physical remand.
Initial medical examination of the policewoman confirmed that the woman had been tortured.
The family of the female sub-inspector claims that they have been receiving threat calls from the suspect’s relatives.

Police have arrested the prime suspect in a female sub-inspector kidnap case based on the medical examination of the policewoman, which confirmed that the woman had been tortured.

A female sub-inspector was allegedly kidnapped and tortured by a man who tried to rape her at gunpoint in Muzaffargarh district.

However, to confirm or reject rape allegations, further medical examinations will be conducted, police said.

Meanwhile, the suspect is now under police custody on a four-day physical remand.

According to a First Information Report (FIR), the sub-inspector was on her way to the Saddar Police Station to work on a case when the suspect abducted her in a car and took her to a garden near Chaman bypass where he tortured and then raped her.

The victim had since been shifted to a hospital for medical treatment.

Per the FIR, the abduction took place within the vicinity of two police stations in broad daylight. The victim told police that the suspect — identified as Kashif — had been harassing her through phone calls and messages for quite some time.
