Iftikharullah Babar assumes charge as Senate Secretary

ISLAMABAD: Iftikhar Babar, who was appointed as new Secretary Senate (BS-22) by Chairman Senate, Farooq H. Naek, assumed charge of the new post here on Tuesday.

A notification in this regard has been issued by the Senate Secretariat, says a press release issued by Senate Secretariat here.

Iftikharullah Babar who was performing duties as Special Secretary Senate prior to his appointment as Senate Secretary, has vast experience in administrative, legislative business and in depth understanding particularly of conduct/working of Senate Committees.

He has also supervised the Research Directorate of the Senate. Iftikharullah Babar is Chief Editor, Senate News, a quarterly Newsletter which covers Senate activities during this period.--APP
