ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari, after a long time, has given an interview to Geo News, which would be aired tomorrow (Saturday).
This is his first interview to any news channel after a considerable hiatus.
Talking to senior Geo News anchor, Hamid Mir in an exclusive interview, President Zardari opened his heart on the key national issues.
Geo News broadcast the highlights of the interview Friday night.
Commenting on ‘memogate scandal’, he said that he would respect the Parliamentary Committee on National Security’s (PCNS) decision for he believed the Parliament was supreme.
He said he was not afraid of early elections and was ready to talk to PML-N’s Nawaz Sharif for the same.
During the interview President rejected that national entities like PIA, Railways, WAPDA, etc. were inching towards collapse.
“Media think it was so, but I don’t think so, these entities have only weakened”, President said.
To a question an outspoken Zardari denied any rivalry with the Chief Justice, saying (in good humour), he didn't come from my village.
