Demo staged against lawlessness

QUETTA: A large number of workers of Quetta Electric Supply Company Labor Union Balochistan on Friday staged demonstration against killing of a colleague and injuring some others.

They gathered outside the Quetta Press Club premises and raised slogans against lawlessness. Leaders of the protestors Safdar Kurd and Pir Muhammad Kakar said that armed men had killed QESCO line superintendent Muhammad Siddique and injured some other employees.

They added that employees of Wapda had been kidnapped for ransom in Balochistan while there was no check on heinous crimes in the province. They demanded of the government to provide fully safety and protection to life and property of QESCO employees and citizens. (APP)
