RAWALPINDI: City Police Officer (CPO) Rawalpindi Azhar Hameed Khokar has asked the Station House Officer (SHO) of all the police stations to minimize the crime in their areas.
He said that action will be taken and concerned SHO will also be responsible if any crime related incident occurred.
Azhar Hameed Khokar showed concerned over the street crime, decoity, kidnapping for ransom, gambling, drug pushing and heinous crimes.
The vehicle theft is another challenging job for the department.
Addressing a monthly meeting held at Police Line here on Sunday. Besides, Senior Superintendent of Police Yasin Farooq. Superintendent of Police Rawal Town, Malik Matloob, DSPs and SHOs attended the meeting.
CPO said that it is the prime responsibility of Station House Officers (SHOs) of the area to control the crime.
If the incident of crime committed that was the negligence of relevant official, he said.
Strict action will be taken and concerned official would also be taken to task under the law, he added.
CPO ordered the officials to arrest the proclaimed offenders adding that all available resources should be utilized to minimize the crime incidents from the society.
He strictly directed to the officials do not misbehave with the complainants and their complaints must be redressed on priority.
Meanwhile, Rawalpindi police has arrested 11 criminals and recovered3300 gram charas, 5 bottles of liquor, 102 bullets, 2 pistols and bet money Rs 1490 from the possession of criminals. (APP)
