MULTAN: Federal Minister for Overseas Pakistanis and MQM leader Dr Farooq Sattar said on Sunday that Seraiki province was a legitimate demand of the people of this area.
While addressing a ceremony organized by Pakistan Saraiki Party (PSP) president, Barrister Taaj Muhammad Langah in his honour, Dr Farooq Sattar said that MQM has presented two resolutions in the National Assembly regarding the establishment of Seraiki and Hazara province.
He said that the party will table the bills regarding the establishment of Seraiki province and Hazara province in the next session of the National Assembly. He further added that the party has suggested to include 21 districts of South Punjab and two districts including Dera Ismail Khan and Tank of KPK in the Saraiki province.
Dr Farooq Sattar said that six MQM members in Senate and 25MNAs in the National Assembly have extended full support to the people of this area.
He said that the population of the Punjab was more than the population of many countries of the world. He said that the Punjab Chief Minister does not even know the names of all the 450MPAs in provincial assembly. (APP)
