RAWALPINDI: The students of BBA-VII as a part of their project at Fatima Jinnah Women University (FJWU) organized a book drive here on Tuesday in collaboration with Gogi Studios at the new auditorium.
Ms. Nigar Nazar, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Gogi Studios who is also author of ten comic books was chief guest. Ms. Nigar has created Gogi comics for national dailies. She was conferred with Fatima Jinnah Award by the government on her contribution in the field of Art.
Ms. Afza Asif, a student of BBA-VII, and a member of Fulbright alumni association has launched a project SMILE which was one of the four wining projects for resource funding by US.
Briefing about the project, she elaborated that how the education can be made accessible for the underprivileged children of the country. She said that using the modern technology, education can be made more entertaining than ever.
Reading habits which are now dying in our young generation is the focus of the project. Collaboration with Gogi Studios made it possible for her to make her dream come true, she added.
Internationally acclaimed short film "HEAL" by Mian Adnan Amir was also shown. The subject matter was related to the spread of education.
