Flight carrying Pagara’s body lands in Karachi

KARACHI: A Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight, PK-788, carrying Pir Sahib Pagara’s body has landed in Karachi, Geo News reported.

From Karachi, Pir Sahib’s body would be flown to Sukkur in a special C-130 airplane today (Wednesday), wherefrom a helicopter will take his body to his hometown, Pir Jo Goth, where he will be laid to rest.

Spiritual Leader of Hur Community and Chief of Pakistan Muslim League (Functional) Pir Mardan Shah-II, more commonly known as Pir Pagara, breathed his last at the age of 83 on Tuesday in London.

Earlier, Pagara was flown to London’s Wellington Hospital in an air-ambulance after he caught an infection following a surgery in Karachi a few days ago, where he, reportedly, had shown some signs of improvement before his death.

Doctors at Wellington Hospital said the cause of death was cardiac arrest.
