Lahore to have ultra modern forensic lab soon: CM

LAHORE: Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif has said modern that forensic lab of South Asia being set up in Lahore will play an important role in criminal justice system.

He was addressing a high level meeting at Punjab Forensic Science Agency (PFSA) here Friday.

The chief minister said that a forensic lab of international standard had been established in the provincial metropolis at a cost of billion of rupees which will not only help control crime but also bring criminals to justice through investigation of the cases on scientific lines.

He said not only Punjab but other provinces would also benefit from this unique and modern lab of South Asia.

Earlier, PSFA Director General while giving briefing about the performance of the lab informed that firearms, finger prints, polygraph, crime scene and other cases have been completed from various labs up to 1st November 2011. (APP)
