QUETTA: A shutter down and wheel jam strike was observed in parts of Balochistan on third consecutive day on Saturday against killing of wife, daughter and the driver of MPA Mir Bakhtiar Domki.
Nationalist party Baloch Republican Party (BRP) gave call for strike which was supported by National Party (NP) and Balochistan National Party-Mengal (BNP-M).
Commercial centers, markets and shops were closed and vehicular traffic remained thin on roads in cities including Quetta, Khuzdar, Kalat, Mastung, Panjgure, Turbat, Gwadar, Pisni, Lasbella, Awaran, Kharan, Machh, Dhadar, Sibi, Dera Allahyar, Dera Murad Jamali, Dera Bugti and Kohlu.
However, shops remained open in some parts of Quetta city.
Meanwhile, local politicians have demanded of the federal and Sindh government to ensure arrest of the killers.
