ISLAMABAD: Several small and big processions were taken out in the Federal Capital on Sunday to celebrate Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (SAWW) with religious zeal and fervour.
The processions were organized by an eight-member Milad Committee comprising Pir Muhammad Ali Wasti, Pir Ghulam Rabbani Akhtar Al Qadri, Anwarul Hasan Alkhairi, Raja Shafeh Alkhairi, Qari Muhammad Ahmed Satti, Ch Abdul Ghafoor, Sardar Muhammad Ramzan, and Muhammad Naveedul Hasan.
Rallies brought out from various areas of the ciyt, gathered at Jamia Masjid Al-Raza in Sector G-6/2 Markaz from where a big procession led by Pir Abdullah Khan and Pir Muhammad Badar-e-Alam Khan, was taken out which culminated at the shrine of Hazrat Sakhi Sultan Muhammad Badshah in Aabpara.
Speakers on the occasion stressed upon the Ummah to follow the Sunnah of Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH).
They said the Ummah should seek salvage from the problems by following the teachings of Holy Prophet (PBUH). "We should respect other human beings irrespective of discrimination of caste or creed', they added.
All major government and private buildings, residential plazas, markets, mosques, streets and even houses were decorated to mark the occasion.
Special security arrangements were made in the Federal Capital to avoid any untoward incident.
A police official told APP that around 1000 personnel were deployed to guard the rallies and processions.
