District Sherani being developed as modern town

QUETTA: Deputy Commissioner Sherani Muhammad Tariq on Monday said that construction of the Sherani district headquarters is in full swing adding that the new town is being developed on modern lines.

Talking to the media persons during his visit to the under construction district headquarters, the DC said that the newly curved out district has been divided into nine sectors which would be developed on modern lines.

He added that soon after completion of the construction work all the district offices would be shifted. In the meantime, Chairman Islamic Ideological Council Maulana Muhammad Khan Sherani directed the authorities to lay down the project keeping in view 100 years future planning.

He also directed the officials concerned to ensure that the sewerage planning does not contaminate the Zhob River which dissects the district headquarters. He also stressed room for private housing schemes, modern sewerage system and street lights run on solar energy. (APP)
