Altaf grieved over PM indictment

LONDON: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Chief Altaf Hussain on Monday expressed heartfelt grief over the indictment of Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani but advised the government to exercise patience and honour the court proceedings, Geo News reported.

In a statement issued from MQM London Secretariat, Altaf Hussain said: "He felt really grieved over whatever happened today (Monday)."

He said all the state organs should respect one another and avoid clash at all cost.

"The government should desist from any such act that is reflective of an emotional reaction because the country cannot afford any clash among institutions at a critical time like this," he said.
