ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Police on Tuesday arrested 44 suspects and four other outlaws from various areas of the city and recovered 40 wine bottles, two pistols from their possession, a police spokesman said.
According to details, teams of various police stations conducted search operation in their respective areas and nabbed a total of 44 suspects.
During this search operation, Shehzad town police station arrested 13 suspects, Kohsar police apprehended one suspect and Koral police nabbed two suspects.
Likewise, Industrial areas police, Nilore police nabbed one and three suspects while Aabpra police nabbed 24 suspects.
Meanwhile, Kohsar police station nabbed a bootlegger and recovered 20 wine bottles. Shalimar police arrested Asad Ejaz for having 30 bore pistol while CIA police nabbed an accused Usman for possessing 32 bore pistol.
Bhara Kau police station along with police team signaled to stop a car (LPT-5582) at Bani Gala. On seeing the police team, the driver of the car managed to escape leaving the car there and police recovered 20 wine bottles after the search of car.
Cases have been registered against the nabbed persons under relevant sections and further investigation is underway. (APP)
