Grenade attack on police vehicle in Lyari

KARACHI: Situation in various parts of Lyari grew tense after some unknown assailants attacked an armored vehicle of police with a hand grenade in Baghdadi area of Lyari on Wednesday, Geo News reported.

SP City, Nasir Aftab said unidentified men hurled a hand grenade on an armored vehicle of police in Baghdadi area of Lyari but fortunately no casualties occurred as the grenade failed to go off.

Heavy enforcements of police reach the spot immediately after the incident in a bid to keep situation under control.

However, situation is tense in various areas of Lyari including Baghdadi and Kalri as intermittent gunshots could be heard in these areas.
