Man beats wife after she asks him to return her mobile phone

A man has allegedly beaten his wife in India's Ahmedabad after she told him not to use her phone and return it to her, Times of India reported.

As a result, the woman, 34, has lodged a complaint in the Sola police station against her husband.

The complainant informed The Times of India that her husband had left the house for a little while. When he came back after around 30 minutes, he started using his wife’s phone. As she restrained her husband from using the device, he got infuriated and began verbally abusing her.

As the fight escalated, he reportedly started beating her too. Upon his mother-in-law’s request to stop the violence, he threatened to murder his wife. 

As a result, the mother-in-law called the police. Later, the victim filed an official complaint at the police station, the report said.
