Senior Sindh bureaucrat among 3 names added to immigration watch-list

KARACHI: Authorities have added the names of three people – including a senior bureaucrat – to an immigration watch-list, preventing them from leaving the country, well-informed sources told Geo News on Tuesday.

The three include Sindh Secretary Education Dr Fazlullah Pechuho, Ali Hasan Zardari and his son Ashiq Ali Zardari.

Pechuho is known to be the brother-in-law of an influential personality, while both Ali Hasan and Ashiq Zardari are alleged to be 'front-men' for a key personality.

Ali Hassan Zardari is said to have been running the affairs irrigation department and is accused of being involved corruption and embezzlement.

Both Ali Hassan and his son Ashiq Zardari are alleged to have been influential in key matters including postings and recruitments in the irrigation and municipalities departments.

Well-placed sources in the Federal Investigation Authority (FIA) and intelligence agencies have confirmed the inclusion of the three names in the immigration watch-list.
