No trust move: GDA assures Imran Khan of complete support

Government key ally in the centre, the Grand Democratic Alliance (GDA), on Monday assured Prime Minister Imran Khan of complete support ahead of the no-trust motion, Geo News reported.
In a bid to foil the opposition's no-trust move against PM Imran Khan, the PTI-led government is making all efforts to muster the support of coalition partners. Therefore, to woo allies, last week, PM also met with the leaders of the PML-Q and MQM-P.
On Monday, the prime minister reached parliament lodges to meet the leadership of BAP and GDA. However, BAP refrained from lending its support to the government and told the PM that the party has yet to decide about the no-trust motion.
On the other hand, the GDA has assured Prime Minister Imran Khan of their complete support against the opposition’s no-trust move.
After the meeting with the PM, GDA leader Ghous Bux Mahar told the media that the Prime Minister in his meeting with the party leadership presented his stance to us, however, we have assured PM Imran Khan of our complete support for the no-trust move.
During an appearance on the Geo News Programme Aaj Shahzaib Khanzada Kay Saath, GDA leader and federal minister Fehmida Mirza confirmed supporting PTI and said, "if I am still a part of his cabinet, then ethically it’s unfair to not stand with the PM at this moment as no trust motion is presented in the assembly."
"As per principle, If I had any reservations with the incumbent government, I should have resigned from the ministry," she said.
The Federal Minister went on to say that he believes the government should complete its constitutional term of five years in order to ensure the continuation of democracy, just as previous governments of the PML-N and PPP did.
"While the constitution allows for a no-confidence vote against an individual, I feared that ousting the government would not only lead to anarchy, but would also end the democratic process," she explained.
Responding to a question about making demands on the government, Fehmida Mirza said that her party had reservations regarding Sindh, adding that, "we have put forth our reservations to the PM and he nodded to address those issues."
The Federal Minister went on to say that now that the PM has committed to addressing our issues, at any stage, if he doesn’t meet our demands, then our options are open.
Vote on no-confidence motion against PM Imran Khan to be held on March 28
Senator Faisal Javed announced on Monday that voting on the no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan will take place on March 28.
The senator tweeted that the vote on the no-confidence motion, without specifying a date, would take place after March 27.
"The biggest jalsa of Islamabad will take place on March 27 (Sunday). Prime Minister Imran Khan will deliver a historic speech. And the voting on the no-confidence motion will take place after March 27."
