DHAKA: Pakistan fast bowler Mohammad Sami destroyed the batting line of Dhaka Gladiators to help Duronto Rajshahi win by three wickets in a Twenty20 match of the Bangladesh Premier League here at the Shere Bangla National Stadium on Monday.
Sami bowled fiercely to capture five wickets for just six runs in 3.2 overs, taking two wickets on successive balls on two times.
Marlon Samuels also took two wickets.
Dhaka Gladiators who batted first after winning the toss were bundled out for 116 in 18.2 overs.
The main scorers were Darren Stevens (28), Nazimuddin (26) and Mohammad Ashraful (23).
Then, Duronto Rajshahi achieved the winning target, with four balls to spare, for the loss of seven wickets.
Captain Mushfiqur Rahim top scored with an unbeaten 40 and Sean Ervine made 27.
For Dhaka, Pakistani allrounder Rana Naved-ul-Hasan, captain Mashrafe Mortaza and Elias Sunny claimed two wickets each.
