Former England skipper and a well-known commentator Michael Vaughan has praised Pakistan's star batter, Babar Azam, after he played a marathon 196-run inning off 425 balls in the 2nd Test against Australia.

Vaughan believes Babar is ''brilliant across all formats.''

Ever since his rise as one of the world's top batters, Babar has played several individual innings of pure brilliance and class — especially in the limited-overs cricket.

But it was the Test match arena in which Babar was struggling a lot — having not scored a ton for over two years. But his monumental knock in the recently-ended Test could make him rise as one of the topmost and consistent performers in red-ball cricket as well.

Meanwhile, Vaughan believes that Babar is, without a doubt, the best batter across all forms of cricket.

"Without question, I think Babar Azam is the best all-round batter in the world right now .. Brilliant across all the formats," he tweets.
