Body of Indian student who was killed in Ukraine to be donated for medical research, says father

The family of Indian medical student who was killed in a shelling attack in Ukraine will be donating his body for science, ABP Live reported.

Naveen Shekharappa wanted to contribute to the medical field and achieve something, his father informed. 

“That’s why, we at home, have decided to donate his body for medical research,” news agency ANI quoted Naveen’s father as saying.

The body will be donated to the SS Medical College of Davanagere for medical research.

The family will first offer Pooja in their village as per the Veera Shaiva tradition.

Naveen’s father added that their sadness had gone since they would be able to watch their son for the last time.

The parents expressed gratitude towards the authorities for bringing Naveen’s body back.

Naveen was a fourth-year medical student studying in Kharkiv Medical College. He was out to get some food when the shelling attack happened.
