  • Feature is being introduced on Google, Android.
  • Has been available to iOS users since last year.
  • Might be available on Chrome too.

Android users finally got the option to erase their last 15 minutes of search history from their phones, a feature iOS users had gotten their hands last year in July, reported Tech publication Pocket-lint.

Google spokesperson Ned Adriance said that the feature will be available for use in the Google application and Andriod.

"We expect it to be available to everyone using the app in the next few weeks," he added.

Mishaal Rahman, former XDA Developers editor-in-chief, first announced the rolling out of this feature on Twitter before it was released to Android users around the world.

It is unsure whether the feature will be available for desktops and Chrome.

Adriance did add that the feature might soon be available on other platforms.

"We're continuing to explore ways to bring this helpful feature to other surfaces," the spokesperson said.
