After 11 years of being associated with Dota 2, joinDOTA has announced that they are saying goodbye, Dot Esports reported.
JoinDOTA is one of the earliest tournament organisers for Dota 2.
For newbies, the name may be new but the website has been a foundation for the game’s tournaments. JoinDOTA has made unbelievable contributions from 2011 to 2020.
It organised the first-ever international event in 2011 and soon became the go-to place for those who were looking to get into big leagues or compete against their friends at higher levels.
During its journey, joinDOTA welcomed more than 2,500 teams. It simultaneously produced valuable podcasts and match casts.
JoinDOTA even introduced forums where competitive players could discuss the game and find members for their teams.
JoinDOTA staffer kitkat said, “JoinDOTA also represented young and established talents and offered a great stage, many have become some of the world’s most renowned talents and some are still very active today.”
In its 11 years, joinDOTA managed to achieve 1.5 billion+ page views, 9,000+ news posts, and 80,000+ forum threads. On YouTube, it bagged more than 80 million views with more than 70,000 videos uploaded.
