LAHORE: Pakistan’s pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi — who was hit on his knee while batting in the nets and suffered an injury — will have a fitness test before the second match against Australia, sources privy to the matter said.

According to the sources, Shaheen’s addition to the team for the second ODI will be made after the team reaches Gaddafi Stadium. The pacer’s knee pain has gone down since the injury.

Earlier, the 21-year-old was rested by the team management in the first ODI of the three-match series.

On the other hand, all-rounder Shadab Khan’s inclusion in the second match is not possible as he is still in his recovery phase.
