  • Police say man remains unhurt.
  • No other vehicles were affected.
  • Luxury vehicle sustained major damage.

Buying a luxury vehicle is almost every person's dream. However, owing to the hefty price tags attached to them, only a handful of "lucky ones" could actually purchase them.

A man in Derby, England, was one such lucky person, who got the opportunity to buy a dazzling new Ferrari for himself.

But as fate would have it, the man lost control of the vehicle and crashed it, only after driving it for less than two miles (3.2 kilometres), the BBC reported, citing the Derbyshire Roads Policing Unit.

Taking to their Twitter page, the Derbyshire Roads Policing Unit wrote that the man purchased the vehicle today (April 1). Following the crash, no injuries were reported. The driver remained unhurt and no other vehicle was affected during the crash.

However, as can be seen in the pictures of the luxury vehicle, it sustained major damage. Per the BBC, the car was moved off the road.
