Lara Trump blasts 'hypocritical Hollywood star' Will Smith for slapping Chris Rock

Lara Trump, an American television producer who's married to Donald Trump's son Eric, flayed slammed Will Smith over his shocking move at the Oscars, saying he 'got away' with slapping Chris Rock because he's a hypocritical 'Hollywood celebrity'.

Former Us president's daughter-in-law argued 'any average person' would be in jail if they acted as Smith had, saying: 'It shows you that when you are a Hollywood celebrity, and this is basically what people took from this, you can get away with anything.'

'If any average person did that they would be in jail, they'd be locked up,' Lara Trump said during her FOX Business segment on Friday. She added: 'They would have at least been arrested or questioned by the police at this point.'

Smith marched onto the stage and slapped Rock during the 94th Academy Awards last Sunday after the comedian told a joke about his wife Jada Pinkett Smith. Rock's wisecrack was targeted at Pinkett Smith's buzzcut, a style she has embraced in wake of her alopecia diagnosis.

Expressing her thoughts on the shocking Oscars incident, Lara Trump claimed Will Smith got away with slapping Chris Rock because he is a 'Hollywood star'.
