Shahid Afridi thanks Aussies for touring Pakistan after 24 years

The first tour of Australia to Pakistan in 24 years ended successfully with the Aussies prevailing the Test series 1-0 while the hosts won the ODIs on their home ground.

After the successful tour, former Pakistan cricketer Shahid Afridi thanked the Australian team and management for coming to Pakistan. Taking to Twitter, Afridi wrote: "I would like to thank the entire Australian squad & mgmt for coming to [Pakistan] after 24 years."

He expressed his hope that other teams will also follow in their footsteps and visit Pakistan.

The 42-year-old appreciated the security forces for making the event possible. He also thanked the fans who visited the stadium to cheer for the teams.
