KARACHI: Some of the star Pakistani women cricketers are left with no option than to train in an outdated gym facility here at National Coaching Centre (NCC) opposite National Stadium during Ramadan.

Cricketers, who have represented Pakistan in both ODIs and T20Is with multiple accolades under their belt, are training in an outdated gym of the NCC without any trainer.

According to the sources, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has set-up training facility from 3pm-5pm at National Stadium's Hanif Mohammad High-Performance Centre.

However, due to fasting, many players showed reservations and asked PCB to change the training time. But, due to staff's unavailability in any other time, player's didn't get positive response.

Eventually, players arranged alternative training facility to keep themselves fit in off season.

In this regard, this correspondent contacted PCB's media department two days ago to get their version but the response was delayed for unknown reasons.

It is pertinent to mention here that Pakistan team recently participated in ICC Women's World Cup in New Zealand. The Green Shirts won just a single match out of seven they played in the mega event.
