DIG Operations stresses for intelligence network
QUETTA: Deputy Inspector General Police Operations Quetta Qazi Abdul Wahid has urged all police stations of the provincial capital to reactivate their intelligence network to control heinous crimes.

According to a statement issued here on Thursday, he directed police stations to arrange open kuchehri within premises of the police station.

He said that Quetta police so far had arrested 22 proclaimed offenders during search operation adding that gangs involved in kidnapping citizens for ransom are included in the arrested criminals.

He added that on the directives of Chief Minister Balochistan, Nawab Aslam Raisani four police teams headed by senior officials had been constituted to trace out gangs involved in target killing, kidnapping for ransom and other heinous crimes.

He said that steps were being taken to change police station culture.

The DIG said that station house officer of every police station would listen to people's complaints on daily basis. (APP)
