Meta-owned instant messaging platform WhatsApp is working on a new share profile interface, for a future update, WABetainfo reported Tuesday.

The WhatsApp news tracker said WhatsApp is planning to release a future update that will bring a new interface when the user wants to share their profile.

In particular, the QR code button will be replaced with a new share icon.

“WhatsApp is also planning to redesign the share profile section where there will be possible to copy and share your short link, a special deep link that lets other people open your profile right within their WhatsApp application in order to quickly start a chat with you,” WABetainfo said.

Moreover, when a user decides to share their short link, they also share their phone number since it contains a phone number.

The user will be able to give their customers the short link; however, it seems like the new interface will only be available to WhatsApp Business accounts.

The new share profile interface is still under development and will be released at a later date in a future update.
