LAHORE: The Government of Punjab has decided to issue the salaries of public servants in the province a few days earlier on the account of Eid-ul-Fir, a notification said Wednesday.

The finance secretary, in a notification, directed relevant authorities to ensure the salaries of Muslim government employees and pensioners are issued on April 27.

The holy month of Ramadan started in Pakistan on April 2 and Eidul Fitr is expected to be observed either on May 3 or 2.
