Former federal minister and Awami Muslim League leader Sheikh Rasheed Ahmad paid his respects at the Roza-e-Rasool (PBUH) in Masjid-e-Nabvi, Madina during the holy month of Ramadan.

The minister visited the holy mosque after performing Umrah (Islamic pilgrimage) in Makkah, it emerged on Monday night.

Taking to Twitter, Rasheed shared a picture of himself standing in the courtyard of Masjid-e-Nabvi with Gumbad-e-Khizra (The Green Dome) in the background.

Hundreds of believers travel to Saudi Arabia every year and perform Umrah in Ramadan, seeking the Almighty’s blessings during the holy month.

The pilgrimage was restricted for the last couple of years due to the coronavirus pandemic but now the situation has improved and the Kingdom has allowed foreigners as well.
