Car packed with explosive seized

PESHWAR: The City police averted a bid of terrorism by seizing a car packed with explosives materials in the outskirts of Peshawar on Monday.

On a tip off to Chamkani police station about parking of an Alto Car No-IDJ 2398 at Lala Kala Cattle Market on GT road, police rushed to the spot along with Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) and searched.

As result, 40 kilogram explosive, two electric detonators and others materials used in terrorists activities were recovered from its secret cavities.

It would have brought havoc to human and properties if exploded because cattle dealers from Khyber Pakthunkhwa and Punjab come at Lala Kala cattle market for selling animals in large number.

Police have started investigation and registered a case. (APP)
